  • Jennifer Anne Norman is a multidisciplinary artist trained in traditional drawing and painting but remains unbound by any single material. Each creative endeavour directs her choice of material. She seeks splendour in the damaged and promise in failure. Canada leads the developed world in per capita production of garbage; ironically, this title is a result of excellent recycling programs that leave us with clear consciences uninterested in looking beyond the blue box. With this in mind, Jennifer creates artwork that playfully evokes a dialogue between our immediate environments, ecosystems, and our post-consumer waste. In this presentation, she will discuss her process, the multimedia aspects of her creative practice, and the culmination of her work to date, offering tips and advice based on personal experience and mistakes.
